Open Music
My goal is to create open music. For starters that means all my music is available to be remixed or redone by you. But it also means I try to provide as many details about my songs as I can. Some mystery is good for art of course but I don’t mind telling you I wrote a song inspired by an hilarious voicemail transcription or Batgirl. Not every song is inspired by something deep.
To me, open music also means that I don’t make albums or deal with release dates. I write songs and they appear on my website. It’s open. The album process is dated and creatively unhealthy, at least for me.
All my songs and videos are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 United States License.
What this means is that you are free to download, remix, distribute, share, and cover my songs however you like as long as you attribute the original work to me, share it under the same license and don’t make any money. If you’d like to use my tunes for a commercial project, get in touch.
All my music is free to download and remix.
